Have you ever watched a little bird build her nest? The process is fascinating and completely instinctive. She carefully selects an ideal location that is safe and warm for her eggs and begins collecting just the right amount of twigs, mud, grass, and anything else that will make her nest snug. All of this effort is because she knows it will be a place to spend time waiting for her hatchlings to arrive.
Have you ever watched a woman in her eighth month of pregnancy, down on her hands and knees scrubbing the floors or wiping out the inside of light fixtures? Even though she is exhausted and achy, she too is nesting, preparing for her new arrival.
We all have a natural instinct to nest. There is nothing sweeter than creating a new home for the people we love. We carefully select the perfect spot to build our home and look for just the right twigs (or windows & floors) and pieces of grass (or furniture & rugs) that will make our house a cozy nest for our people to dwell and grow.
This is a House Wren, and like

Speaking of nesting, please join us in congratulating one of our interior designers, Ashley, on expanding her nest with new husband, JD! They celebrated their new beginning with an intimate wedding ceremony near the Kalaloch Tree Cave.
Ashley has been a part of our team for over a year. She is full of artistic talent, and has helped many clients realize a vision for their nests. Ashley's own nest is influenced by her love of Old World Scandinavia. In addition to design, Ashley enjoys line dancing, snowboarding (with dreams of going pro!), and her two-year-old daughter. Ashley has an adventurous personality, and she brings so much joy to those around her with her quick wit and infectious laugh.
